In family law practice, Lee has assisted people in thousands of matters, from local courts to the High Court, in many complex and challenging areas of family law.
In the Federal Attorney-General's Department, Lee was primarily responsible for development of, and key stakeholder consultation on the Family Law Amendment (De Facto Financial Matters and other Measures) Bill. She also made significant contribution to other major reforms, such as the bankruptcy and family law anti-avoidance measures, and recent child support amendments. Her work with the Human Rights Branch was closely engaged with the building and disability sectors in development of legislative standards for access to premises.
Lee is an experienced advocate, and has been active in law reform projects on behalf of the National Carers' Association, Amnesty International, and National Legal Aid. Her postgraduate work in international law has led to publication on humanitarian law issues.
